<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating garbage which prevents malodor from leaking into a kitchen and which maintains the deodorizing performance of a deodorant for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating garbage includes a garbage treating chamber 9 installed below a garbage throw-in opening 4 for throwing in garbage and reducing the amount of garbage, a suction duct 58 installed in the surrounding of the garbage throw-in opening 4 and communicating with the garbage throw-in opening 4 at least in connection with the throw-in of garbage, and a hybrid deodorant 63 installed between the suction duct 58 and a suction means 62 communicating therewith. The air different from the air in the garbage treating chamber 9 is made to flow to the hybrid deodorant 63 for re-generating the hybrid deodorant 63. When the garbage is thrown in, malodor is sucked from the suction duct 58 and is deodorized with the hybrid deodorant 63, thereby preventing the malodor from flowing to the outside. The hybrid deodorant 63 is efficiently re-generated by making flow the air different from the air which is rich in the malodor in the garbage treating chamber 9 to the hybrid deodorant 63. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
