PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device capable of suppressing a hindrance of fuel injection at an injection hole, by optimizing the fuel passage area in an auxiliary guide part and suppressing toppling (tilt) of a needle valve. SOLUTION: The fuel injection device is equipped with the needle valve 20 held inside a needle valve inserting hole 2 formed in a nozzle body 10, in such a way as able to advance and retreat; a first guide part 31 to hold the needle valve 20; and a second guide part 32 formed at a part nearer the forefront than the first guide part 31 for holding the needle valve 20, wherein the second guide part 32 has a second guide part abutting part 34, where the inside surface of the needle valve inserting hole 2 abuts to the outer peripheral surface of the needle valve 20 against a section perpendicular to the axis of the needle valve; and a second guide part fuel passage 35, where the inside surface of the hole 2 separates from the outer peripheral surface of the needle valve, and is arranged so that the flow passage area of the second guide part fuel passage 35 is at least 16 times as large as the flow passage area of the injection hole 13.
