PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production apparatus which reduces noise, and suppresses propagation of vibration and the rise of temperature in a housing to be low. SOLUTION: A first housing 10 accommodates a second housing 20 through an air layer (atmospheric layer) (a) so that the influences of vibration and noise from a hydrogen compressing part 50 accommodated in the second housing 20 are eliminated. Further, in the first housing 10, an air layer (atmospheric layer) b is provided between a hydrogen producing part 40 accommodated in the housing 10 and the housing 10, and further, leakage of noise to the outside is suppressed by respective surface plates 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 each constituted of a sound insulating plate and a sound absorbing material. The second housing 20 is formed to have an approximately rectangular parallelepiped shape and is composed of an outer package panel c, in which a left-side surface plate, a right-side surface plate, a front surface plate, a rear surface plate, and a top surface plate are each constituted of the sound insulating plate and the sound absorbing material so as to largely suppress noise from the hydrogen compressing part 50 accommodated in the housing 20.
