PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of performing blast washing that reduces the material cost and enhances a washing effect with a detergent by: reducing a storing space of a projection material and the detergent; and reducing a blast material to be used in washing dishware. SOLUTION: The dishwasher has: a washing tank 1 for storing articles 2 to be washed; a water feeding means 14 for feeding water to the washing tank 1; and a washing nozzle 4, connected to a washing pump 5, for jetting granular detergent 7 or liquid to the articles 2 to be washed. The dishwasher carries out: a first washing step 17 for jetting the granular detergent 7 covered with a coating material 15 dissolving in a predetermined condition to the articles 2 to be washed; and a second washing step 18 for jetting a detergent liquid formed by dissolving the granular detergent 7 to the articles 2 to be washed.
