PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam iron which enables steam to be deeply distributed in a fabric, and can suppress unevenness in pressing to obtain a neat finish, and enable wrinkles to be easily removed by providing the powerful steam. SOLUTION: The steam iron includes an iron base 2 having steam jetting holes 20, a vaporization base 1 having a heater 11 and a vaporization chamber 3 which are attached while being stacked on the iron base, a lid 13 which covers the vaporization base, a tank 101 which stores water while being located above the lid, and a steam button 102 which controls the feeding of the water in the tank to the vaporization chamber. The water in the tank is fed from the tank bottom surface to the vaporization chamber 3 by operating the steam button, and the steam is fed from the steam jetting holes 20 through a steam path 12 of the vaporization base 1 by vaporizing the water in the vaporization chamber by the steam iron. In the steam iron, a guiding passage 14 which guides the steam to the steam jetting holes 20 by making the steam turn is installed on the vaporization base 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
