PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage machine, moving forward and backward a treating body holding unit using a simple and inexpensive mechanism. SOLUTION: This massage machine includes: a support supporting a treated person from the back; a case 30 provided to elevate along the support; the treating body holding unit 40 disposed to hold a treating body 41 and be movable in the longitudinal direction in the case 30; and a forward and backward driving mechanism for moving the treated body holding unit 40 in the longitudinal direction. The forward and backward driving mechanism includes: a pair of pinions 43 located on both side parts of the treating body holding unit 40 and rotatably supported on the treating body holding unit through a pinion shaft extending in the width direction; a pair of rolling elements 44, 45 located on both side parts of the treating body holding unit and rotatably supported on the treating body holding unit; a pair of racks 31 having teeth meshing with the pair of pinions, extending in the longitudinal direction and fixed to the case 30; and a pair of guide rails 32 extending in the longitudinal direction to receive the pair of rolling elements and guide the same and fixed to the case 30.
