PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser therapeutic apparatus, capable of conducting a therapy even after a movable type protective filter unit has failed. SOLUTION: The laser therapeutic apparatus radiates a laser beam for therapy to an affected part of a patient through a radiation optical system to conduct a therapy. As illustrated in Fig.1, the apparatus includes a trigger means to generate a trigger signal to radiate the laser beam to the affected part, a control part 70 to control radiation of the laser beam based on the trigger signal, a microscope part 50 with an observation optical system, a first protective filter 61 arranged and fixed in an observation optical path in the observation optical system, a second protective filter 62 that is insertable to/removable from the observation optical path, an insertion/removal mechanism part 65 to insert the second protective filter, a sensor 66 to detect the second protective filter inserted to the observation optical path, and a mode selection means to select between a normal mode in which the control part radiates the laser beam based on the trigger signal and a detection signal from the sensor and a special mode in which it radiates the laser beam not based on the detection signal from the sensor, but based on the trigger signal.
