<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device for accurately observing a target. <P>SOLUTION: This radar device includes an antenna 10, a beam forming section 34, and an angle measuring section 37. The antenna 10 is equipped with: a transmitting/receiving element 11a divided into a first transmitting/receiving element and a second transmitting/receiving element; and a reception-dedicated element 12a divided into a first reception-dedicated element and a second reception-dedicated element. The beam forming section 34 divides an observation angle range into a plurality of parts, forms a transmission beam so as to cover each of divided angle ranges with each element of the antenna, makes the beam orientation direction of each element of the antenna similar to those of the first transmitting/receiving element and the second transmitting/receiving element during receiving, forms a phase monopulse beam ofΣandΔto cover each of the plurality of angle ranges using the first transmitting/receiving element, the first reception-dedicated element, the second transmitting/receiving element, and the second reception-dedicated element, and forms a beam of a narrow beam width using the first transmitting/receiving element, the second transmitting/receiving element, the first reception-dedicated element, and the second reception-dedicated element.
