PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head that well preserves ink characteristics at recording by way of performing a preliminary heating efficiently for ink. SOLUTION: The recording head has heaters 102 and ejection openings formed at locations corresponding to the heaters 102. Viewed from the side from which ink is ejected, a sub-heater 201 is arranged in the recording head between the ink supply port 210 and the heaters 102 so as to surround the ink supply port 210.
