PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably execute function restriction while managing license for each application in an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: An application management section 25 detects a restriction function of which use by a certain user is prohibited from among functions in a certain application 27. Then, service 26 registers the restriction function detected by the application management section 25. When a function execution request to the application 27 by the user occurs, the service 26 determines whether a function designated by the function execution request has been registered as the restriction function. When the function designated by the function execution request has not been registered as the restriction function, the service allows the execution of the function designated by the function execution request. When the function designated by the function execution request has been registered as the restriction function, the service prohibits the execution of the function designated by the function execution request.
