PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker stacking sheets without interference of the sheets already stacked on a stack tray and a stopper even if the front end position of the sheets is changed toward the direction opposite to the sheet discharging direction in the stacker provided with a front end alignment mechanism aligning the front end of the sheets by pressingly move the sheets by the stopper. SOLUTION: The front end alignment mechanism 51 is constituted to include the stopper 58, a vertical movement part 57 supporting the stopper 58 so as to move vertically, and a horizontal movement part 59 supporting the vertical movement part 57 so as to advance and retract to the sheet discharging direction and its opposite direction. Also, a control unit is provided which makes the vertical movement part 57 and the horizontal movement part 59 act so as to align the front end of the sheets discharged to the stack tray by making the stopper 58 pressingly move the sheets toward the opposite direction of the sheet discharging direction and so as to raise the stopper and to align the front end of the sheets already stacked on the stack tray on the opposite direction side of the sheet discharging direction with respect to the front end of the sheets.
