PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device capable of flexibility performing a resume operation according to a user's viewing way. SOLUTION: The reproducing device 10 comprises: a reproduction program 173a for reproducing video contents; a stop button 14b; a storage part 16 for storing a stop position and a stop position storage program 173; and a reproduction button 14a. The reproducing device 10 also comprises: the storage part 16 and a return time storage program 173d for storing return time for a return operation from the stop position when the user performs the return operation within a predetermined time after the reproduction resumption of the video contents by the reproduction program 173a, when a reproduction start is instructed by the reproduction button 14a after a reproduction stop is instructed by the stop button 14a; a calculation program 173e for calculating the average value of the stored return time; and a setting program 173f for setting a position returned by the average value calculated based on the stored stop position as a resume point.
