PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin dispensing apparatus which reduces the risk of incorrect calculation by directly detecting coins residing in the through-hole parts of a rotary disk, suppresses prolongation of the processing time of the coins, and prevents consumption energy from being increased. SOLUTION: The coin dispensing apparatus includes: a hopper 11 for storing coins; a rotary disk 15 arranged below the hopper and rotated by a motor 16; and a bottom plate member 22 arranged just under the rotary disk 15, wherein the rotary disk 15 is provided with the plurality of through-hole parts 20 arranged side by side on a concentric circle, and the coin dispensing apparatus dispenses coins introduced from above to the through-hole parts 20 from the lower part one by one. In the coin dispensing apparatus, the bottom plate member 22 is provided with a detection hole 22A formed on at least one point matched with the concentric circle of the plurality of through-holes 20. This coin dispensing apparatus further includes a detection means 30 for detecting the coins residing in the through-holes 20 from a direction which is almost vertical to the bottom plate member 22 following the penetrating direction of the through-hole parts 20.
