PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector device to prevent the shutter from being brought into contact with an end surface of a ferrule when the shutter is opened and closed. SOLUTION: The optical connector device includes a first connector 200 including a ferrule 220 for holding an optical fiber and a guide portion 214 projecting longer than the ferrule 220. Meanwhile, the optical connector device also includes a second connector 300 including a housing portion 314 for housing a guide portion 214 and a shutter 330 having a covering portion 332. When the position of the shutter 330 where the covering portion 332 intercepts the optical axis A<SB>O</SB>is defined as a cover position, and when the position of the shutter 330 where the covering portion 332 does not intercept the optical axis A<SB>O</SB>is defined as an open position, the shutter 330 usually positions at the cover position, while the shutter 330 is set so as to be moved from the cover position to the open position when the guide portion 214 is housed in the receiver 314.
