OPTICAL DISC FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL VIDEO RECORDING, OPTICAL DISC REPRODUCTION APPARATUS, AND OPTICAL DISC RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility with a conventional system for reproducing an ordinary video, in an optical disc having three-dimensional video and high-image-quality video signal recorded therein, and a system for reproducing them.

SOLUTION: A first video signal and a second video signal are each divided into one GOP (group of picture) or more frame groups; and, for interleave blocks recorded alternately laterally on an optical disc 1, a three dimension/high image quality-respondent reproduction apparatus reproduces both the first and second interleave blocks, so that a three-dimensional or high-image-quality video is obtained, and a three dimension/high image quality-nonrespondent reproduction apparatus reproduces only the first or second interleave block by applying a track jump, so that an ordinary video is obtained.
