<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell with the efficiency of power generation improved. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell includes an amorphous silicon solar cell unit in which a p-type layer 30, an i-type layer 32 and an n-type layer 34 are stacked. The p-type layer 30 includes a high-concentration amorphous silicon carbide layer 30a to which a p-type dopant is added, and an amorphous silicon buffer layer 30b to which substantially p-type dopants are not added.
