LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having improved reliability on electric connection and resistance to the heat of a cold cathode tube when driven.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes the cold cathode tube 30 arranged on the side of a first face 24 of a backlight frame 22, a circuit board 34 arranged on the side of a second face 26 of the backlight frame 22, and a connector 38 for connecting the cold cathode tube 30 to the circuit board 34. A first terminal 40 of the connector 38 is electrically connected to a terminal 36 of one of the cold cathode tube 30 and the circuit board 34 with welding. A second terminal 42 of the connector 38 is electrically connected to a terminal 32 of the other in contact therewith. A hole 28 of the backlight frame 22 is large enough to insert the second terminal 42 thereinto. The connector 38 is inserted through the hole 28 and mounted on the backlight frame 22.
