PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holding unit that accurately controls movement of a lens. SOLUTION: The lens holding unit includes: a movable portion 18 having a lens holding portion 12 for holding the lens 14, and three or more coils 32 and 38 fixed to the lens holding portion such that they are displaced from one another along the direction C in which the lens rotates around the optical axis thereof; a fixed section 20 having magnets 22a to 28a disposed opposite the coils, and a base member 16 supporting the magnets such that the magnets are fixed; a first support member 40 made of a conductive elastic material, electrically connected to the coil, and supporting the movable portion so that the movable portion is movable relative to the fixed portion, the first supporting member having a plurality of conductive paths 42 to 48 electrically insulated from one another.
