PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid interference of a boot and a cover at the maximum operation angle and facilitate compact design. SOLUTION: This fixed type constant velocity universal joint includes an outside joint member 10 having track grooves 11 extending in an axial direction formed at circumference direction plural sections on an inner circumference surface 12, an inside joint member 20 having track grooves 21 forming a pair with the track grooves 11 of the outside joint member 10 and extending in the axial direction formed at circumference direction plural sections on an outer circumference surface 22, the inside joint member 20 having an axial hole 23 formed at an axial center, a plurality of balls 30 put between the track groove 11 of the outside joint member 10 and the track 21 of the inside joint member 20 and transmitting torque, and a cage 40 put between an inner circumference surface 12 of the outside joint member 10 and an outer circumference surface 22 of the inside joint member 20 and retaining the balls 30, and has a shaft 50 press-fitted in the axial hole 23 of the inside joint member 20 in such a manner that torque can be transmitted.
