PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly conductive copper-clad aluminum wire that has flexibility and processability, shows good wire drawability and has a proper tensile strength. SOLUTION: The copper-clad aluminum alloy wire is obtained by cladding an aluminum alloy wire with copper, wherein the aluminum alloy wire is formed from an aluminum alloy containing 0.2-0.8 mass% Si, 0.36-1.5 mass% Fe,≤0.2 mass% Cu, 0.45-0.9 mass% Mg, 0.005-0.03 mass% Ti and the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities.
