PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher which inhibits attached water which adheres to the whole inner surface of a lid from traveling down into a body casing and can avoid early defacement of the body casing. SOLUTION: A washing tank 2 with the upper part opened is constructed in such a manner as to be freely detachable in a horizontal or nearly horizontal direction to a body casing 1. A lid 10 which opens and closes an upper opening in the washing tank 2 is so prepared on the upper part of the body casing 1 as to control opening and closing so that the opening is closed when the washing tank 2 is held in the body casing 1 and is opened when the washing tank 2 is pulled out from the body casing 1. The lid 10 is configured such that the inner surface becomes an inclined position where one side thereof serves as a subordinate position in opening condition and is also configured such that attached water 23 which adheres to the inner surface flows to the lower side of the inclined position and travels down into the washing tank 2.
