PURPOSE: A piezoelectric device, a piezoelectric actuator, a liquid discharge device, and a generating device are provided to improve transmission performance and reception performance by improving an electric mechanical combination coefficient of a piezoelectric material. CONSTITUTION: A bottom electrode(12) is formed on the surface of a substrate(11). A piezoelectric material(13) is formed on the bottom electrode. A top electrode(14) is formed on the piezoelectric material. The bottom electrode and the top electrode apply electric field to the piezoelectric material in a preset direction. A diaphragm(16) is attached to the rear of the substrate with the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric material.
