IMAGE DECODING METHOD, AND IMAGE DECODING DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image encoding method capable of preventing the occurrence of a picture which cannot be displayed after decoding while taking memory capacity required for image decoding into consideration.

SOLUTION: If buffer has no idle region for storing a decoded image as a non-reference image upon storing the decoded image as the non-reference image in the buffer, images of an early order of display which are not referred to as reference images in subsequent decoding are deleted from images stored in the buffer, that decoded image as the non-reference image is stored in the buffer; if the decoded image as the non-reference image is in a display order earlier than any images stored in the buffer, that decoded image as the non-reference image is output for display; if at least any one of the images stored in the buffer has a display order earlier than that decoded image as the non-reference image, at least any one of the images stored in the buffer is output for display.
