<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flickering, without using a light receiving element, regarding a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal element is configured such that liquid crystal 105 is held between a pixel electrode 118 and a common electrode 108. A data line driving circuit 140 is configured to apply a positive polarity voltage and a negative polarity voltage to the pixel circuit 118, alternately in terms of time. A common electrode driving circuit 40 is configured to apply a voltage Vcom to the common electrode 108. A control circuit 20 is configured to instruct the common electrode driving circuit 40 to control the common voltage Vcom so that a difference, between the current except an instantaneous current with application of the positive polarity voltage, of the current flowing in the common electrode 108 after the positive polarity voltage is applied to the pixel electrode 118, and the current except the instantaneous current with application of the negative polarity voltage, of the current flowing in the common electrode 108 after the negative polarity voltage is applied to the pixel electrode 118, may become equal to or below a predetermined threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
