PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition timing control device for an internal combustion engine capable of inhibiting an event that the generation of a knock cannot be effectively suppressed in a basic learning region where an influence of the aging deterioration of the internal combustion engine on the generation of the knock largely is varied. SOLUTION: In the basic learning region where the influence of the aging deterioration of the engine 1 on the occurrence of knock largely is varied, a plurality of multipoint learning regions are set and multipoint learning values are prepared in the multipoint learning regions. The multipoint learning values are updated based on feedback terms which are increased and reduced depending on the generation of the knock or not. They are adequate for suppressing the generation of the knock in the largely-varying region depending on the variation. In the region, ignition timing for the engine 1 is corrected using the multipoint learning value in the multipoint learning region corresponding to a current engine operating state, and then corrected using a basic learning value corresponding to the basic learning region where the multipoint learning region exists.
