PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a support structure of a contact arm by solving the problem that a stroke of the contact arm by a specified amount is traditionally used to switch over the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of a pulling operation of a switch lever so that the support structure can not be miniaturized, in a driving tool having the pushless type contact arm which prevents malfunction of the tool body caused by careless operation of the switch lever. SOLUTION: In the driving tool, an operating switch 20 can be turned on by locking a second idler 12 and a third idler 14 by pressing force F of the contact arm 10 against a material to be driven and by preventing a first idler 8 from tilting at the time of the pulling operation of the switch lever 6.
