PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas separator efficiently producing a large amount of gas with a given component in a gas mixture concentrated to a certain concentration. SOLUTION: The gas separator 1 has a membrane element 5 having a gas separation membrane 17 in a housing 3 set therein and forms a primary gas path 7 and a secondary gas path 9 separated from each other with the membrane element 5 in the housing 3. The membrane element 5 of the gas separator 1 includes a pleat molding 13 formed by pleat-likely rounding the gas separation membrane 17. The gas separator 1 can form a large amount of nitrogen-enriched air G2 compared to conventional concentrators of PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) system. As the pleat molding 13 including the gas separation membrane 17 is pleat-likely rounded, the area of the gas separation membrane 17 contributing to the selective permeation of oxygen in the housing 3 is enlarged, to efficiently concentrate nitrogen by increase of oxygen separating/removing efficiency.
