PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for accurately determining proper metadata independently of the property of data prepared in advance for inferring the metadata. SOLUTION: An information processing device acquires a value of metadata added in advance to target data, acquires a plurality of sets composed of a plurality of kinds of inference metadata values which are associated with each other, analyzes a distribution state of other kinds of inference metadata values corresponding to inference metadata of the same kind as that of the added metadata, determines an inference method to be used for inferring metadata to be newly added to the target data based on the distribution state, infers the value of metadata to be newly added to the target data by using the determined inference method based on the value of the added metadata and a set of a plurality of inference metadata values, and adds the inferred metadata value to the target data.
