PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium high in durability, which secures an air permeability to a liquid containing an oil content or surfactant, an acidic or alkaline liquid, an organic solvent, or boiling water and a liquid low in surface tension, and a liquid bottle having the filter medium and satisfying the air permeability and a leakage prevention of the liquid. SOLUTION: The filter medium comprises a porous ceramic 2 and provides a liquid affinity agent at least on a part of particles present between a surface and a predetermined depth. The filter medium is constituted so as to enable the holding of a liquid 4 entering from a pore 3 in a surface 1a of one side inside, and at the same time, constituted so as to ventilate a gas 5 entering from the pore 3 in the surface 1a from a surface 1b of the other side.
