PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an active adsorbent by utilizing materials and their properties since the fine pore structure and the porous body of diatomaceous earth and a zeolite characteristically have a large surface area. SOLUTION: The active adsorbent is completed by adsorbing oils such as edible oils, waste oils, etc. on diatomaceous earth and a zeolite having a fine pore structure and porous body, heating the oils, and thereby depositing and carbonizing the oils.
