A retracting device for a drawer, comprising: a catch member (5) affixed to the drawer (2); a retracting device body (41) affixed to a containment container body; a first latch member (42) for engaging with the catch member and supported on the retracting device body so as to be slidable in the direction in which the drawer is retracted; a first spring (43) for forcing the first latch member in the direction in which the drawer is drawn; a second latch member (46) supported on the retracting device body so as to be slidable in the direction in which the drawer is retracted and engaging with the first latch member at the middle of the slide stroke thereof in the direction in which the drawer is retracted; and a second spring (47) for forcing the second latch member in the direction in which the drawer is retracted.
