Disclosed is a relay amplification apparatus (10) that comprises: a receiving unit (12) configured to receive broadcast information transmitted by a radio base station (BTS); and a control unit (13) to, based on the broadcast information, adaptively change frequency bands in which to amplify radio waves. Frequency range information contained in the broadcast information contains a combination of the center frequency and a bandwidth with respect to one or each of a plurality of frequency bands. Based on the frequency range information, the control unit (13) amplifies radio waves in a frequency band currently in use and reduces an amplification level applied to radio waves in a frequency band that is not currently used. Thereby, the control unit (13) adaptively changes frequency bands in which to amplify radio waves.
