<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of achieving wide light distribution characteristics by a simple and convenient constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device is an LED light bulb, and in an external view, is equipped with a base 10 as a power supply connection in order to be fitted to an external socket and electrically connected to a commercial power supply, a heat-radiation part 13, a coupling body to couple the base 10 and the heat-radiation part 13, a translucent part 50 of substantially hemispherical shell which is hollow, and a disk-shaped heat-radiation plate 20 or the like in which an LED module is placed and which is thermally coupled with the heat-radiation part 13.
