PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to allow going back from data after log application, to the data at any given point in past time. SOLUTION: A computer program is provided, which makes a computer execute steps of: acquiring a forward log; extracting a forward file operation of the obtained forward log; specifying a backward file operation generation rule concerning the forward file operation; generating a backward file operation for restoring a file before applying the forward file operation from a file after applying the forward file operation according to the specified backward file operation generation rule; recording the generated backward file operation in a backward log; applying the forward file operation to the file before applying the forward file operation; and restoring the file before applying the forward file operation by applying the backward file operation to the file after applying the forward file operation.
