PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for a spool, wherein a long object can be pulled out from the spool in a state received in the case, and an excessively pulled-out long object can simply be rewound to the spool in the case. SOLUTION: The case for the spool (2), which has a cylindrical body (3) and a pair of flange portions (4) extended from both the ends of the body portion (3) and in which a portion (5) for winding a long object (6) is disposed on the periphery of the body portion (3) between both the flange portions (4/4), is characterized in that the spool (2) is received in a receiving portion (7) in a state capable of being rotated in the peripheral direction of the body portion (3); the case has the first side surface (8) parallel to one flange portion (4a) of the spool (2), the second side surface (9) parallel to the other flange portion (4b), and a peripheral side surface (10) surrounding the approximately whole periphery of the outer peripheral edge of both the flange portions (4); a pullout opening (11) is opened on the outer surface of the receiving portion (7); a rotation operation window (18) is opened in a site facing the neighborhood of the body portion (3) in the second side surface (9); the outer peripheral edge of the flange portion (4) is engaged with the outer peripheral edge of the rotation operation window (18) in a state incapable of being separated from the receiving portion (7).
