PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel preparation capable of controlling release of penoxsulam that serves as a herbicidally active ingredient. SOLUTION: The solid agrochemical composition comprises (a) a granule containing penoxsulam serving as a herbicidally active ingredient and a hydrophobic substance that is in a solid state at 25°C and (b) calcium carbonate. The granule may further contain calcium carbonate and a herbicidally active ingredient other than penoxsulam or an auxiliary agent.
