PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain conveyor device smoothly conveying an object to be conveyed when the conveyance direction is reversed even if the object to be conveyed is heavy, preventing a side roller from being broken or decreased in its lifetime, and reduced in the overall size. SOLUTION: The chain conveyor device includes a number of saddle 113 supporting an object to be conveyed and arranged on a roller chain 110 stretched around a driving sprocket 101 and a driven sprocket and endlessly circulating. In the chain conveyor device, the roller chain 110 includes a side roller 112 projecting laterally, and a holding rail 104 supporting a main roller 111 from above is provided above the vicinity of the driving sprocket 101 of the roller chain 110 running below the conveyance passage.
