PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring the positions of medical instruments hung from a movable rail closer. SOLUTION: The hanging type moving device 11 includes two fixed rails 25 laid on a ceiling along an X axis, two movable rails 26a and 26b disposed along a Y axis, first traveling parts 27a and 27b, and trucks 28a and 28b. Two grooves 34a in parallel with the Y axis are formed symmetrically to the Y axis on both side faces of the movable rail 26a, and a cross section in parallel with the vertical surface of the movable rail 26a is roughly H-shaped. The roller 35a of the truck 28a is fitted to the groove 34a. The rotary shaft 38a of the roller 35a is projected to the outer side in the X axis direction of the movable rail 26a, and the projection end is pivotally supported by a pivoting member 36a. The two pivoting members 36a are provided on positions on both sides symmetrical to the width center in the X axis direction of a body 37a.
