Provided is a means for determining and outputting, from time-series imagery, the state of the change of a cell mass toward becoming multilayered. An image processing program (GP) is provided with: a step (S10) for acquiring time-series imagery; a step (S20) for extracting a cell mass from each of the acquired images; a step (S50) for computing, over the entire cell mass, spatial luminance distributions and luminance changes over time for small regions of the extracted cell mass; a step (S70) for determining the state of the change of the cell mass toward becoming multilayered, on the basis of the computed spatial distributions and changes over time of luminance values; and a step (S80) for outputting the result of the determination.
