PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device capable of more properly imparting auxiliary braking force to one's own vehicle, corresponding to the distance between a signal and a stopping line of the signal. SOLUTION: A driving support device 100 includes a communication device 104 for acquiring the distance D between the signal 401 and the stopping line 402 of the signal 401, and a brake actuator 131 for imparting the auxiliary braking force to a braking force through the brake operation of a driver of one's own vehicle. When one's own vehicle approaches the signal 401, the brake actuator 131 changes the auxiliary braking force to be imparted based on the distance D between the signal 401 and the stopping line 402 of the signal 401 acquired by the communication device 104, and thereby the braking force of a more proper size can be imparted, corresponding to the distance D between the signal 401 and the stopping line 402 of the signal 401.
