PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustment mechanism which can make adjustment in such a way that a surface of vehicle body side member on which a lid is attached comes on an extension of a curved surface formed by a lid surface. SOLUTION: A hinge device includes: a base member 3, which becomes a foundation when attached to a vehicle side member 9 etc.; an attaching member 6, which is attached to one end side of a lid or a hood 61; and two pieces of links 1, 2, which are provided between the base member 3 and the attaching member 6 and provided almost in parallel. The adjustment mechanism 5, which comprises a cutout hole of a slot shape provided at one end side of either one of the links and a pin formed so as to engage with the cutout hole, is provided at either one of four connection points of four link mechanisms formed by connecting each end of the two pieces of links 1, 2 to the base member 3 and the attaching member 6 so as to be rotatable.
