PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service road structure for tracklayer walking in a ballast bed, which allows rapid and inexpensive execution of service road arrangement under a restricted laying condition of railroad track or under a vehicle traveling condition. SOLUTION: In the service road structure for tracklayer walking in a ballast bed, a square unit pavement material 7A or 7B divided into a number of small blocks 8 through vertical and horizontal joint grooves is used as a pavement material for forming a service road 6 for walking of trackalyer along the ballast bed 3 constituting a track 1. A number of unit pavement materials 7A or 7B are laid along the longitudinal direction of a road shoulder 14 along the ballast bed 3 while causing the unit pavement materials 7A or 7B to copy the surface of the road shoulder 14 by cracks at bottom joint parts of the joint grooves to thereby form the service road 6. A stopping means of ballast 3a is formed by the thickness surfaces of the small blocks 8 along the ballast bed 3 side of the unit pavement materials 7A or 7B forming the service road 6.
