PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker by which the discharge amount of steam is reduced by suppressing the wasteful heating more than needed and the steam is stored in the body and is used to prevent cooked rice from drying during hot insulation. SOLUTION: In the rice cooker having an outer lid, an inner lid, a pressure adjusting valve, a steam path for discharging the steam generated in the inner pot to the outside through the pressure adjusting valve, and a steam recovery unit for recovering the steam before being discharged through the steam path to the outside, the steam recovering unit is constituted of an upper case and a lower case, a water returning hole for returning water condensed in the steam recovering unit to the upper surface of the inner lid through the steam path is arranged in the lower case, an inner lid water-returning hole is arranged in the inner lid, a valve body 1 which is closed when the pressure in the inner pot is higher than an atmospheric pressure and is opened when the same is lower than the atmospheric pressure is arranged in the inner lid water-returning hole, a water receiving tray for receiving water from the inner lid water-returning hole is arranged in the lower face of the inner lid, and a steam circulation hole communicating with the inside of the inner pot is arranged in the water receiving tray.
