<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of preventing contrast unevenness between light sources and an emission line from appearing on a light-emitting surface even though a plurality of point light sources are used. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device 20 includes a plurality of point light sources 12, a diffusion light guide body 24 for making light incident from the point light source 12, and a light guide plate 28. The diffusion light guide body 24 makes light of the point light source 12 incident from its front face 24a, and emits the light to one side face 28a of the light guide plate 28 from its rear face 24b.
