PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an execution environment for an application properly.

SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus that executes a job requested from an application, includes: setting information reception means that receive setting information to the job from the application; job execution request reception means that receive an execution request of the job from the application; job execution control means that control the execution of the job according to the setting information of the job, depending on the request from the job execution request reception means; output element management means that cause execution for outputting of an output surface each for the output surface of an output object of the job, which is determined based on the setting information; and image composition means that combines the image predetermined by the setting information into the output surface.
