PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a laser device which expands and compresses a pulse in pulsed laser light. SOLUTION: The pulsed laser light enters a pulse expanding/compressing device 12. The pulsed laser light is turned into a positively chirped state after passing through the pulse expanding/compressing device 12. The pulsed laser light enters OPA 13. The OPA 13 transits the energy of pump light into signal light (entrance light) by the entering of the pump light together with the entrance light and outputs the amplified signal light and idler light. The idler light, oppositely to the signal light, is turned into a negatively chirped state. The idler light enters the same pulse expanding/compressing device 12 as above. Thus, the waveform after the idler light passing through the pulse expanding/compressing device 12 is chirped positively, and a delay of the pulse at the long wavelength side can be compensated. By taking out the pulsed laser light as an output, a high-output ultrashort pulse laser can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
