PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a color conversion filter substrate capable of attaining an accurate pattern at low costs, without exerting adverse effects on the characteristics of a color conversion layer, when forming a transparent protection layer on the surface of the color conversion layer and pasting with an organic EL element substrate mounted with color conversion layer. SOLUTION: In the a manufacturing method for a color conversion filter substrate having processes of making the protection layer 15 of the color conversion layer 20 by forming at least two kinds of color filter layers 30 and bank layers 5 for partitioning every pixel on a transparent substrate 10 and by forming the color conversion layer 20 by applying ink including a color conversion layer material and by applying ink, including a polymer material being transparent in a visible light range on the color conversion layer 20, a solvent for the ink including the color conversion layer material is a non-polar solvent, and a solvent of the ink including the polymer material which is transparent in a visible light range is a polar solvent.
