PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cleansing composition comprising a bicontinuous type microemulsion which is low in an eye-irritating property even in a low surfactant concentration range of <15 mass% in the total amount of the composition and is stable in a wide temperature range. SOLUTION: This skin cleansing composition comprises the bicontinuous type microemulsion comprising the following components (A) to (D): (A) one or more polyglycerol fatty acid esters selected from polyglycerol fatty acid esters comprising a branched fatty acid and glycerol and polyglycerol fatty acids esters comprising an unsaturated fatty acid and polyglycerol, and having a total HLB of 9 to 12, (B) a dihydric alcohol, (C) a liquid oil, and (D) water, wherein the component (A) is contained in an amount of≥8 mass% and <15 mass% based on the total amount of the composition.
