PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for treating pet animals and protecting them from animal parasites, inhibiting and exterminating the parasites on them, particularly cats and dogs, while being spreadable over their bodies with causing no stickiness of their hair. SOLUTION: The composition includes (a) an active insecticidal substance of formula (I); (b) a crystallization inhibitor; (c) an organic solvent with a dielectric constant of 10-35, wherein when 0.3 ml of a solution A prepared by adding 10%(W/V) of the compound of formula (I) and 10%(W/V) of the crystallization inhibitor to the organic solvent defined above is put onto a glass slide followed by being left to stand at 20°C for 24 h and then observing the surface of the glass slide by naked eyes, the number of observable crystals is 10 or less; and (d) an organic cosolvent serving as a drying promoter with a boiling point of 100°C or lower and a dielectric constant of 10-40.
