PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system enabling a user to access different contents from printed images having codes on a printing medium embedded in the images. SOLUTION: The information providing system includes: a code transmitting part 12 transmitting images obtained by reading images with embedded codes printed on a printing medium 11 or the codes extracted from the images obtained by reading; an information providing part 14 receiving the images obtained by reading or the codes extracted from the images obtained by reading and transmitting the information corresponding to the images or the information for acquiring the information corresponding to the images; an information receiving/acquiring part 13 receiving the information corresponding to the images or the information for acquiring the information corresponding to the images, and acquiring the information corresponding to the images based on the information for acquiring; and an information changing part 17 changing the information corresponding to the images in the information providing part.
